Membership Definitions
“Growing Your Business through Association”
All companies, businesses, organizations, individuals or business-related entities are eligible to become members of the A.B.A. We have two types of membership classification:
Member:
Must have a business in the Acheson Industrial Area.
Associate:
Businesses or professions outside the Acheson Industrial Area.
An organization or business-related entity receiving government funding may apply to become a member of the Acheson Business Association, but such application will require the approval of the ABA Board.
Membership Year:
The ABA’s membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st. New members are always WELCOME and can join at anytime.
Membership Fees:
Each year the ABA Board of Directors sets the membership fee.The annual fee for the current membership year is $250.00 (no gst) for members and $200.00 (no gst) for associate members.
Board Members:
While all ABA Members are eligible to nominate a director to the ABA Board, only those members located or owning property or facilities, inclusive of utility amenities, within the boundaries of Acheson Industrial Business Park and paying Acheson property taxes, either directly or indirectly through rent, are eligible to hold an Executive Committee position on the Board and have voting privileges. Associate Members are not eligible to hold office or vote.
